International Day of the Girl

We celebrate girl power every day at BOSS! But today people are coming together all over the world for International Day of the Girl, to address the lack of equal opportunities and violence and discrimination that girls all over the world are faced with.

Representing the girls in our Juniors division is a huge honour for us and we love nurturing them and watching their talent and creativity flourish. Today we stand with the global community to support girls progress everywhere.

CBBC PRODUCTION LOOKING FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

One of our clients is trying to improve their representation of disability on screen and are desperately seeking children aged 9-15 years with disabilities to take part as extras.

This will be shooting in the Salford area over the next couple of months.

If you know of anyone that may be suitable for this then please ask them to email olivia@bossmodels.co.uk with their child's name, age, location and a current photo.

The government is expected to announce the cut to the BBC children's budget on Thursday 12th May. So a big petition, standing up for advert-free BBC children's television, will show that there's huge public opposition to the government's plans. Please can you sign and share the petition to save all BBC children's TV channels?

If you have kids, you will know the importance of quality TV shows. There are absolutely tons of programmes for children but none of them are of the quality which the BBC provide, a lot of them are often gross, violent or otherwise unsuitable. The BBC offers kids TV which is intelligent, fun and often educational. It would be a massive travesty for it to disappear.

The BBC is our neighbour and our client, providing work for Boss Juniors in popular CBBC productions that shoot in and around the North West. It saddens me to think that these working opportunities could be taken away from us.

DREAM BIG!

Boss are very proud to support our good friend Emma Gage, a top British swimmer competing at the Olympic Trials in Glasgow this weekend, aiming to win a place at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Emma started swimming at the age of 4 and was successful all the way up until she was 16, achieving a National Youth Gold medal, topping the group rankings alongside Rebecca Adlington.

After having had a 4 year long break, Emma got back into swimming and swam faster than ever before when competing at the inter-counties competition for the Cheshire Masters Team. This kick-started her swimming again, reaching new levels and goals she had never expected to accomplish.

Emma is now training with both Stockport Metro & Trafford Metro swimming clubs, with Sean Kelly, one of the top coaches in the UK.

We believe that she can go all the way! ‪#‎TEAMEMMA‬ ‪#‎OLYMPICS ‬‪#‎RIO2016‬
